Common issues after changing your password on Windows (BYOD)
Here are some of the common issues, and their resolutions, when you change your school password
- Unable to connect to the Wi-Fi (BYOD)
- Unable to print (BYOD)
Unable to connect to the Wi-Fi
When you change your password, your laptop still tries to connect the wireless network using your old password. This works for a short time, but you will eventually be disconnected (usually within 24 hours)
Please follow these steps to forget and re-join the wireless network with your new password.
- Click the wireless icon in your task bar and click on the arrow next to the Wi-Fi section

- Find 'smlc' on the list and right click and click Forget

- Left click on 'smlc' again and click Connect

- Put your school username and new password in

- If this warning pops up, click 'Connect'

- You should now be connected to the SMLC wireless network with your new password.
Unable to print (BYOD)
